The gravity separation method has the advantages of simple equipment structure and low operating cost, so it can be used when the conditions are suitable.
The main uses of reselection are:
(1) Selection of gold, gold and other precious metals;
(2) Sorting of tungsten and tin ores;
(3) It is widely used in the treatment of placer deposits containing rare metal elements, such as the separation of seaside placer deposits containing zirconium and titanium deposits;
(4) Separation of hematite and limonite;
(5) sorting of manganese ore;
(6) Separation of clean coal and gangue in the coal preparation plant;
(7) Separation of some non-metallic mineral deposits and gangues, such as asbestos, mica, kaolin, sepiolite and diamond;
(8) For non-ferrous metal ores such as copper, lead, and zinc that are mainly treated by flotation, pre-enrichment by gravity separation is also a commonly used method;
(9) Reselect the process of sorting by particle size, such as grading, desliming, etc. Gravity separation is an indispensable operation in almost all concentrators.

The gravity separation process of alluvial gold ore is composed of a series of continuous operations of alluvial gold machinery.
